You are cordially invited to this most special event to help us celebrate 13 years of learning, sharing, creating and growing together. We could not have made it this far without your participation, continued support and contribution. This is our way of saying thanks.
To demonstrate our commitment to the next 13 years we wanted to choose a speaker and technology which we believe will have a truly revolutionary impact on the future.

Messy Biographies to Clean Data - Structuring Text with LLMs and Pydantic
Historical archives and digitized texts are full of rich but messy information. So, how do we make sense of it all? In this talk, I’ll share a hands-on workflow for cleaning and structuring unstructured text using Large Language Models. We’ll explore how to pair LLMs with Pydantic data schemas to extract key details from complex 20th-century Swedish biographies. I’ll walk through the code, show how tools like Prodigy help with quality assurance, and highlight some surprising historical patterns that come to light once the data is structured.
