MCQs in higher education - When to use them and why

There is a place and time for everything, including using multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Knowing how to construct them as well as when to use them and when not to can save both time and money and increase the quality of your assessments to everyone’s benefit. In this discussion we will focus on how to use multiple-choice questions effectively and responsibly, and how to use automated scoring in order to effectivize e-learning turnaround and to enhance test taker learning by providing task level feedback.

The topics about EdTech are endless, and will always center around learning. Anything that may inspire, enhance or just plain work to create great pedagogy in a digitized world. Jonathan Wedman - is a researcher in the field of Educational measurement and a Distinguished university teacher, specialized in assessment in education. He is currently employed as an assistant professor at the Department of applied educational science at Umeå university and has authored the book "Prov" (ISBN: 9789189702134).
