FooCoding: Women

This is an introduction to FooCoding: for female newcomers – How to become a web developer and what does it mean to create a website.

You will meet former female students at FooCoding:Newcomers and our female mentors will show you how to make a simple webpage.

So bring your laptop, if you don’t have a laptop(/don’t worry, you can borrow one from us).

Meet our female mentor

Cristina Vega Spanish, scandinavian adopted since 2006. With a major in Computer Science and a Master in Media Technology and Games, she has been working in the game industry for 13 years, however since 2018 she moved to retail to become part of IKEA as worldwide Technical Capability Manager with focus in modern engineering practices.

She has worked many years as developer, project manager, manager and manager of managers, which gives her a complete view of all aspects of software development and infrastructure, or we could see broadly, technology.

About 10 years ago, she also got certified as a SCRUM Master and she has been working with Agile methodologies ever since. She has participated of several company and team successful digital transformations, being the bigger one the one that currently IKEA is undergoing as it is probably one of the bigger ones ever done in this planet.

She has been volunteering with FooCoding: for a bit more than a year. She claims to love her job and being part of FooCoding.
