Data Alliance

Finding new organizational structures in primary care using PCA

The classic approach when organizing units under managers is to approach it from a geographical standpoint and create different management teams based on their location. This creates advantages such as geographical proximity and belonging among units, but can create problems as a team's units can have varying demographic conditions that can lead to them having different challenges and it can be difficult to find support in the closest management team.

This problem led us to leverage data to find an alternative organizational grouping of units to complement the geographical one, helping units find more similar collaboration partners when facing challenges.

About Data Alliance
We believe that all views are equally important in our world, regardless if you’re a data engineer working your way through an obscure data model, a software engineer helping your fellow colleague understand the data generated from your application, or a product owner viewing product metrics. We therefore want to gather everyone into the Data Alliance to share their past and current struggles and/or solutions, no matter if they were successful or not. These experiences will spark illuminating discussions for everyone involved, especially the presenter.

Format:
One presentation ~30-40 min and then we’ll throw out a discussion topic for everyone in groups to discuss and mingle over. There’ll be pizza and drinks too of course ;)

Speaker:

Johannes Hedman - A dedicated analyst, passionate about leveraging data to support businesses in their decision making. He has a lot of experience working within the public sector especially health care. When not processing data you can find him hiking or skiing in the mountains.
