An evening about delivering better software faster

Accelerate (the book) showed us that certain software development practices have a measurable impact on our ability to deliver software well. Amazingly enough, there's a strong correlation between moving fast and being stable in delivering quality software. We believe this is an untapped opportunity for many software organizations.

During this evening we'll explore one of the necessary practices to achieve this feat: continuous delivery. In three talks we'll dive deeper into what continuous delivery is and explore a few of the required capabilities, some common pitfalls, and signals that can help determine if we're on the right track.

Speaker:

Jimmy Nilsson - a passionate fountain of knowledge and thought leader in Domain-Driven Design. Jimmy is always looking to improve the world around him, whether it be through sharing meaningful experiences, helping customers to increase their revenue or by championing causes to protect democracy and our environment. He’s not afraid to take an unconventional road if he believes in it and is always looking for new opportunities to make the difference he wants to see.

Daniel Raniz Raneland - a problem solver who keeps track of the bigger picture. Raniz is prestigeless, likes to get into new domains, and loves sharing knowledge and ideas. He’s worked with system- and software architecture at several companies since 2010 and has been with factor10 since 2021. When not working, he's into beer brewing, sourdough bread, 3D printing, and triathlons.

Martin Hellspong - an award-winning software architect, designer, team lead, tech lead, mentor, and developer. Martin has been consulting for over twenty years and enjoys mentoring and introducing teams to modern development practices. He’s worked mainly on the back end, but has been known to dabble in the front end as well – though he would never call himself a “full stack developer” as that, in his opinion, is just a mythical creature.
