In this session, we explore how everyday IoT data from a Home Assistant setup can become part of a powerful end-to-end data platform using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Explorer.

We’ll walk through how to collect, transform, and analyze data from sensors, energy meters, and automations in Home Assistant, and how to stream that data securely into the Azure ecosystem. You’ll see how Azure Data Explorer (ADX) provides fast, time-series analysis and anomaly detection, and how Fabric’s OneLake, Dataflows, and Real-Time Intelligence can bring the data to life through unified dashboards and AI-driven insights.

This talk blends the world of home automation with enterprise-grade data analytics, showing how the same Azure tools used for large-scale IoT and telemetry can easily power data-driven insights at home — and beyond.

Kåre Rasmussen - Hi, I’m Kåre Rasmussen, a Cloud Solution Architect at Microsoft Denmark, where I’ve been helping Danish enterprises get the most out of Azure Data and AI services since 2018.
