For our warmup intro, Olof Rännbäck Garpinger, will quickly go over one of the most popular data science tools out there called R! It is a free open source language and environment which can be used to import raw data, tidy, transform, visualize, and model. R is highly known for having a wide variety of statistical and graphical techniques and its ease to create well-designed plots.
So, this might be a good opportunity to meet other R enthusiasts and tackle the dataset of the event together.
About the speaker:
Olof Rännbäck Garpinger has a PhD in Automatic Control from Lund University, and has worked as a consultant since 2009. He has long experience in data analysis using both R and Matlab, and is an avid fan of the Tidyverse.
