How is protein design going to disrupt your industry?
Proteins are molecular nanomachines that animate cellular activity and life in general. Protein design is a field of active research and an emerging technology that utilizes computational models to predict the molecular sequence required to form a protein with a desired shape and function. Recent breakthroughs in machine learning (ML) driven protein structure prediction techniques have paved the way for disrupting multipol industries including the production of advanced materials, food and health, energy and waste management.

Speaker:
Amijai Saragovi - is a protein designer at the Baker Lab. The Institute of Protein Design (IPD), Washington, USA. He holds a PhD in immunobiology from the Hebrew University and a BSc in Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies, the University of London. As a protein designer he is particularly interested in understanding and developing methods to design protein-inorganic hybrid materials, a technology that he believes could contribute to the development of sustainable electronics and batteries.
