Foo Symposium: Peter Principle
Foo Symposium is an open forum for discussing workplace place ideas, methods and practises. These sessions are designed to allow us freely explore our professional experiences with colleagues, clients and customers. Wether you are manager, team lead or developer we want you to tell us what worked, what needs working on or what needs to be thrown out. This is an unfettered conversation where your honesty will be held in the highest regard.

"The Peter principle is a concept in management developed by Laurence J. Peter, which observes that people in a hierarchy tend to rise to "a level of respective incompetence": employees are promoted based on their success in previous jobs until they reach a level at which they are no longer competent, as skills in one job do not necessarily translate to another."
