What’s not to love about a Book Club? It's the perfect opportunity to exchange ideas and share knowledge with others. We're kicking off this initiative by reading the newly released "Building Microservices" by Sam Newman.
About the book
"Building Microservices -Designing Fine-Grained Systems"
"Distributed systems have become more fine-grained in the past 10 years, shifting from code-heavy monolithic applications to smaller, self-contained microservices. But developing these systems brings its own set of headaches. With lots of examples and practical advice, this book takes a holistic view of the topics that system architects and administrators must consider when building, managing, and evolving microservice architectures."

How does it work?
The first meet-up will be an introduction to both the club and the book. We’ll go through how the future meetings will be laid out whilst getting to know each other. Every attendee will receive a copy of the book \o/
Building Microservices touches on a wide range of subjects, and will certainly provide us with much food for thought around several topics concerning software architecture. We’re hoping for some very interesting discussions.
The first meeting will be held at Foo Café on Monday the 23rd of March at 1730, after which we’ll meet up again a bit further down the line (every 6 weeks or so).
1730-2000 (food and drink will be provided)
