Impossible is Nothing by Jim Webber, Neo4j's Chief Scientist

There was a time when crossing oceans was a Herculean effort and humans died from commonplace bacterial infections. But time and technology have moved on making the once seemingly impossible a reality and then a commodity, fuelling our ambition for the next level of impossible feats. In data science, graph technology has followed a similar course: analyses and computation which were once considered impossible (or at least prohibitively expensive) are now routinely handled by graph databases like Neo4j.

In this talk we'll cover some impossible use cases made possible by graph technology: from high volume and personalised real-world logistics through to advanced access security and permissions in computer systems, and finding your ideal next job, we'll see how Neo4j powers the current crop of impossible systems and discuss where is heading for building the next set of impossible apps!

We start at 17.30 with meet, greet, beer and pizza

Jim Webber's presentation starts at 18.00
