Security Analysis is the act of determining if something malicious has happened in an IT environment, and the tools and methods to support this range from log analysis, forensic investigations, retrieving business critical information to performing malware analysis and reversal.
During this seminar, Victor and Christoffer who work as Security analysts at SecureLink take you on a tour through areas of knowledge needed to work as a Security Analyst, including reversing a common type of malware seen today.
Victor Nedström and Christoffer Toft work as Security Analysts in the Cyber Defense Center (CDC) at SecureLink’s Headquarters in Malmö. On a daily basis, they conduct malware analysis and reverse engineering, incident management and security consulting in general. Victor and Christoffer studied together at LTH and and gruaduated with M.scs in computer science. Their Master Thesis projects concerned sandbox evasion and secure cloud communication, topics which will be discussed more in-depth on the presentation.
