The business of IT-Security is one of the most rapidly expanding worldwide. Experts suggest that it will double in size over the next few years, as it has done over the previous five and ten. What does this mean for the future of our young industry? How do we ensure that we hold the banner high for quality and avoid selling snake-oil? What about the emergence of freelance security work, bug bounties and the like? How should they fit into a standard model of security and quality assurance? And what about morals and ethics in the time of cyber warfare?
I will attempt to tackle a few of these questions and share a few stories from my professional and personal life within the realm of IT-Security.
