Sessions
What a Back-End Java Developer Doesn’t Know About the Modern Web Stack
This session elaborates on how a modern web tool stack is used to get you and your team productive. After this session, you will know what tools such as Yeoman, Grunt, Gulp, Bower, and their friends are like. This is not a web framework battle. It’s all about the tooling for productive web development that every Java developer should know about.
Rikard Thulin is a Java evangelist with 20 years of experience using Java. He is the co-founder and JUG leader for Javaforum Gothenburg. Rikard is a frequent speaker at conferences such as JavaOne, Jfokus, JavaZone, Øredev. Entrepreneur and co-founder of Squeed.
Javaforum - 10 years and more
Javaforum celebrates 10 years this year - but actually even more! You may not know it, but in 2005 there was a new era for Javaforum which had existed for several years under Sun Microsystems' stewardship. Now it was up to the community to take over.
Björn will take us back to these years and give us some highlights from this trip. He will even come with some thoughts on what it is that enables a community to survive as long as Javaforum has done.
Björn Granvik is an old(?) Java programmer. Björn was JUG leader of Javaforum in Malmö for six years. He was also responsible for Javaforum Sweden for two years during this period.
